My name is Lauren Yoo and I'm a graduate from the University of California, Irvine. I majored in Computer Science with a specialization in Information Retrieval. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

Previously, I worked at HERE.io, JP Morgan Chase, and at USC Viterbi.

Currently, I'm based in NYC working as a software engineer for BlackRock. As a SWE, I want to build new features that people actually use on the daily while utilizing good system deisgn. I'm actively interested in the technology behind social media, content creation, and credit cards with my favorite examples being Youtube, Threads, Instagram, Bilt Card, and the mobile Stripe payments app. I'm open to new opportunities that will allow me to build features that will reach large audiences and give me opportunities in leading feature development.

Some of my hobbies include snowboarding, playing golf and tennis, film/movies, fashion, trying the best ice cream in the city, climbing the leaderboard on beli, sketching buildings, car watching, and latte art. On an unprofessional note: my goal as a software engineer is to actively develop features that reach the masses, have an iced americano in hand, and drive my dream car daily in los angeles, ca. this last part was for manifestation :)
